Take Action Tuesday: Throw a Great Lakes Party!

This is a Detroit-specific action today, although any of you in the region can check out the link and tailor the idea to your locale.

Thank you for showing your Love for the Great Lakes by taking a personal action in your home to protect the lakes from stormwater and sewage pollution. You joined more than 1,000 other Michiganders who have taken the Great Lakes pledge -- a huge win for our lakes.

Are you interested in spreading the love? You can take your pledge a step further and invite your friends and family to love the Great Lakes!

Host an "I Love Great Lakes" house party!

Hosting a house party means you will invite family and friends over to your home to learn more about protecting the Great Lakes and take their pictures with Sierra Club's "I Love Great Lakes" sign.

Next month, volunteers with Sierra Club's Great Lakes Program will visit our public officials in Washington, D.C. We want to show them the faces of the many people that love the Great Lakes and want them protected for future generations.

Sign up to host an "I Love Great Lakes" house party today!

Once you sign up as a host, we will send you a kit that includes a short video and the Great Lakes pledge -- so your guests can take action to save water, install a rain barrel, plant a rain garden, and much more. We will also send you "I Love Great Lakes" bumper stickers so your guests can take their pictures with them (and then take them home of course!)

Thanks for all you do to protect the environment!
