Lake 1, Superior (makes sense). Little Presque Isle near Marquette, MI.
Lake 2, Michigan, Cut River Bridge, way up north.
Lake 3, Huron, mouth of Pinnebog River, tip o' the Thumb of Michigan. Great hiking in Port Crescent State Park.
Lake 4, Ontario, surprising Chimney Bluffs. Photo by Robbyn McKie Holzworth.
Lake 5? Erie, and the surprising Cliffs of Cleveland, or more specifically, Lakewood.
Don't we have amazing variety in our region? You could travel the Lakes for lifetime and not take it all in. Should we remain happy that to outsiders, this variety of scenery is still largely undiscovered? Would the boost to our economy make losing our relative seclusion as a "known" tourist destination worth it?
